Real Estate Writing and Posting

0

I have seen it all too often. Real Estate agents who are so motivating and passionate about their local markets, whats happening and where, and local events. They overflow with information and can share all of this in a snap with you when face-to-face. Problem is, this falls short when it comes to putting that information into a blog post. Capturing the motivation and portraying this in writing is even harder.

How Can You Deliver Information With The Same Motivation?

For starters don’t become a “Writer” as a career. If you look at writing as a career, you will most likely become your worst enemy. Never good enough and coming across to your readers as insincere or more like a research paper. Although there are times you want to show your “Professional Side” and this should most definitely be included in your plans. I am referring to the casual side of writing that can connect with readers in a more personal way.

You can be professional and still portray yourself. Bring ideas to the table. An article or post about the newest designer furniture and your opinion, gardening tips you may have found, a local event , etc.

You don’t always have to write about a property or real estate. Always be looking for a good simple story that you may write about that is interesting, creative, newsy, trends you have read about, etc. Everywhere you go, everyday, something happens that may make a good post. Notice “Good Post”. Not “Great”. Your posts do not always have to be great!

Then start by writing a letter to someone explaining your subject; your new idea, something you found, etc. Really, write it as a letter to a close friend, sister, brother. You get the idea! Then take what you have and draft your post from this with all of the excitement and motivation of the letter. This will help you come across more sincere and personable. Readers will get a better feel of who you are.
